Alongside my exhibit at Doncaster Community Arts in January 2011 I ran some knit and crochet skill share workshops.
The days were a resounding success with over 30 people turning out for the first day when we had expected around 10! The mix of people was very diverse ranging from people with physical and mental difficulties to retired people who had come to relearn lost skills.
I was on hand with books and examples and advice but the best thing was that everybody helped each other and learned from those around them.
